“Greater love has no man than this, that a may lay down his life for his friends.” Jn 15:13
Welcome
Welcome to the Ministries Page!
As most of you know, to BE CATHOLIC means we are an important part of a LARGE Family as Brothers and Sisters in CHRIST.
Being part of a family means we are blessed with the opportunity and privilege to offer our God given gifts and talents, time and energy to serve our Parish Family in many ways.
Below are comments submitted by
those who serve in ministries:
“It is a blessing to serve our Lord by serving our Parish Family. When I arrive to clean the church, as soon as I open the doors, I can feel God’s presence. It’s hard to describe the overwhelming sense that I am in God’s presence, just me and HIM! I first walk up to the foot of the Sanctuary and kneel in God’s presence and just take it all in for a few minutes. Then as I clean, I can feel Him beside me. When I finish, I thank Him for the opportunity to serve and for the privilege and blessing of spending time alone with HIM. I thank Him for the blessing of our church building and our Parish Family and I offer prayers for everyone who will be coming to spend time with HIM. It’s hard to put into words how God blesses us when we give of our time to serve HIM.”

“When I serve as Sacristan I am always in AWE of God’s presence in the Tabernacle! I have the privilege of arriving an hour before anyone else. The smell when I first unlock the church doors brings all my senses to the awareness of God’s presence! As I walk towards the Altar … I can’t put it into words. Who am I that I am blessed with the opportunity to be able to be so close to our Lord in the Tabernacle?! It brings tears to my eyes.”

“I get nervous about reading, but always pray for God to help me so that He is preaching His word through me. He always helps me do it.”

“I am blessed to serve in the ministry of Hospitality and I get to greet people as they come to Mass. I’m always amazed at the great joy i feel when I see the first of God’s people begin to arrive!”

Right now is a great opportunity for you to consider where God may be calling you to serve.
It truly takes a family to keep our churches going.
As you know, we have implemented a new Mayordomo system to open the opportunities for more people to serve. With the new system the goal is to make it more accessible for those who want to serve.
With the new system there are several parishioners helping with each ministry.
For example, there are several Sacristans, with the goal being that you will only need to serve one day a month. The more parishioners who serve, the more spread out the rotations. If we have 5 Sacristans scheduled for the month, you only serve every 5th Sunday or at the most once a month.
This makes it possible for more parishioners to receive the blessings that God Graces us with when we offer a little sacrifice of our time to HIM.
It truly takes a community to keep our church services available for all of our families.

Our Parish supports the protection of children and others within our Parish.
Everyone serving in ministries is required to acquire a Virtus Training Certificate. Included in the process is a background check.
The Certificates are issued for 5 years. At the end of the 5 years it needs to be updated.
