Pastor
Reverend Angelo Marquez
Fr. Angelo Marquez was born in Gallup, NM, but raised in Rio Rancho. At the age of 20, he left the University of New Mexico to pursue a Catholic Education at Franciscan University of Steubenville in Ohio.
While studying philosophy, he accepted a call to priesthood—a call he had been reluctant to follow at first because he had plans for his own life! Whereas he wanted to pursue a Mechanical Engineering Degree and have his first Mercedes by the age of 25, the Lord showed him that these plans were far too small!
Fr. Angelo knows now that the Lord truly has plans for good and not woe for those disciples that respond to a priestly vocation.
Fr. Angelo has been ordained since 2016, and has had posts in Clovis and Arroyo Seco, NM. He is happily working at EVCP as pastor, and also occupies the office of Director of Ongoing Formation of Priests at the Archdiocese of Santa Fe.
He is an avid “car guy” and enjoys vintage shopping more than he would like to admit.
